Isabel has been tattooing for two years, with a style that’s constantly evolving. She currently focuses on bold black and colour illustrative designs, while continuously learning and experimenting with a wide range of techniques. Her love for tattooing began at a young age, deeply influenced by the rich tradition of Polynesian tattoo culture that surrounded her growing up in the Philippines. As a first-generation immigrant in Canada, tattooing became a way for Isabel to reconnect with her roots and explore her identity beyond what she had known. After taking a leap of faith at the end of the pandemic and leaving behind a short career in animation, she hasn’t looked back. While she loves the art and design process, Isabel finds the most meaning in the stories and collaboration shared with her clients—believing tattooing to be a deeply personal and spiritual exchange. Outside of tattooing, she enjoys experimenting with various art mediums but always finds her way back to oil painting.
